Farhan Akhtar joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe's South Asian superhero, Ms. Marvel's cast!

Ms. Marvel which is set to release on Disney+Hotstar on June 8, will also have Farhan Akhtar adding his charm to the show and we're eagerly waiting for it!

Farhan Akhtar will be seen making a guest appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 'Ms. Marvel' and according to reports, his role will be just as impactful as the show. He will be the first Indian actor to be a part of the legendary Marvel family and add more pride to the South Asian representation that the show offers. On Sunday morning, the actor took to his Instagram to share the news as he posted a picture of a news article that talks about him joining the cast. He wrote in this caption "Grateful that the universe gifts these opportunities to grow, learn and in this case have a ton of fun while doing it." Since then, many members of the fraternity congratulated him on his big opportunity, including his sister and director Zoya Akhtar who shared the same post on her Instagram.

Ms. Marvel is a story about Kamala Khan, a teenage girl who is a die-hard Marvel fan and always lets her imagination run wild about their complex storylines and amazing superpowers, especially when it comes to her favorite, Captain Marvel. She's looked like the weird nerd who doesn't fit in with other teenagers at school. But one day, the unthinkable happens when she wakes up with the same exact superpowers as the Marvel superheroes she's looked up to all her life.

The miniseries features Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Matt Lintz as Bruno Carelli, Rishi Shah as Kamran, and Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf Khan. The series is created by Bisha K. Ali and produced by Marvel Studios.

The show will make its premiere on June 8 on Disney+Hotstar and will be the seventh TV series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
