It's that time of the year when fashionistas, supermodels and designers make the runway come alive. LFW X FDCI 2024 was a star studded affair indeed and here’s who wore what on the ramp!
The 5 day extravaganza has finally come to an end but the highlights from the event still remain intact in our minds. Lakme Fashion Week brings the best of the best from Bollywood, fashion and the content creation industry, which also pulls in so many views and all different kinds of audiences who want to see what their favorite celebrity has adorned on the ramp. There are so many things to dissect and a plethora of ‘main character energy’ that the ramp exuded through these celebrities. For instance, Sara Ali Khan, who was the showstopper for Varun Chakkilam walked the ramp embracing the burn marks on her stomach instead of concealing them. Ratna Pathak Shah graced the ramp for Urvashi Kaur and she looked rather elegant while doing that, Maya Sarabhai would be so proud!
Other celebrities who made headlines with their presence at the fashion week were Ananya Panday, Kriti Sanon, Aditya Roy Kapur, Janhvi Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Triptii Dimri amongst many others. The collections that were showcased were poles apart from each other, every designer had a little something of their own that they added to the ramp. We also saw debutantes like Shanaya Kapoor make their mark in the world of fashion with a designer like Anamika Khanna’s ‘AK-OK’ collection. Overall, this fashion week turned Mumbai into a fashion hub where Indian designers manage to create the same amount of hype that luxury brands do around the world.
