Here are some of her top recommendations!
Double cleansing
You can always start strong with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and all the dirt, then hit it with a water-based cleanser for that fresh, clean feel. I have made videos on how important double cleaning is for your skin.
Toner pads
Personally, this is my favourite part of the skincare routine, These pre-soaked pads are designed to hydrate, gently exfoliate, and balance your skin's pH with each swipe. I find toner pads useful for spot treating blemishes by applying the pad directly to the area for a few minutes. The toner solution on the pads can contain ingredients that address specific skin concerns, such as hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, soothing ingredients like chamomile extract, or acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid or witch hazel.
Viral overnight collagen mask
This is worth the hype! Collagen, as an ingredient, the more you have, the better you can look! It’s the ultimate overnight ticket to bright, hydrated, and gloriously dewy skin. It claims to boost hydration, minimize pore size, improve skin elasticity, and strengthen the skin barrier. And I've noticed significant improvements in skin elasticity and hydration by morning, leaving my complexion looking plump and radiant.
Exfoliation
To exfoliate your skin, you can use either physical methods like scrubs or brushes or chemical methods like AHAs, BHAs & PHAs to remove dead skin cells and reveal brighter, smoother skin.
Moisturize everyday
Moisturiser is for both oily and dry skin people. Regular moisturizing can improve skin texture and elasticity, making it feel softer and more supple. Use a moisturiser that is lightweight and won’t make your skin feel oily. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides are extremely hydrating while also being light and won’t weigh your skin down when used in appropriate formulas like gel or water-based moisturizers.
SPF
This should be your BFF! Prolonged sun exposure can lead to wrinkles, age spots, and other signs of premature aging. Sunscreen helps protect the skin's collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining a youthful appearance. So if you want to look younger than your age, DON’T FORGET to also apply sun protection factor (SPF) on your face, neck and arms, and any other exposed part of your body. Reapply every few hours, and more frequently if you are sweating or swimming, also on cloudy days when up to 80% of the UV rays will penetrate through the clouds.
