Freddy starring Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F released on Disney+Hotstar on December 2! And here's what the Janta thought of the film!
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Freddy’s plot revolves around an introverted dentist, Freddy Ginwala (Kartik Aaryan) who except for his pet tortoise Hardy, has no real friends, no parents, and no lover. So he constantly craves companionship and has been searching for a partner for quite a few years. He lives a fairly monotonous but comfortable life in Mumbai. Despite him being an innocent guy with empathy for everyone around, he is often called a loser and even stood up on dates. But one day when he unexpectedly meets Kainaaz Irani(Alaya F), it was just love at first sight for him. Even though she is married, the two are attracted to each other which eventually turns his world upside down.
Written by Parveez Sheikh with dialogues by Aseem Arrora, Freddy is a psychological thriller that kept the Janta hooked till the end of the film. As they’ve never seen Kartik Aaryan play a role like this before, the audience seems quite impressed with his portrayal of Freddy and praised him for trying something new.

Although ending could've been more specific but this film deserved theatrical release for sure. Karthik is a prospective superstar if he opts for good contents from now on.

Enjoyed the simple camerawork & subtle execution of #Freddy. Has it’s own shortcomings too but a brilliant convincing act by #KartikAaryan made it an interesting watch. #AlayaF did full justice to her character. Decent songs and BGM.

#KartikAaryan has been superb as #FreddyOnHotstar. Career best when it comes to acting and portraying the nuances of #Freddy. It's not the story which is main content of the movie rather it's the screenplay and the acting of Kartik that will outcast#AlayaF is also awesome.
