The craze of Game of thrones continues as along with the prequel series, HBO Max is also developing a Game of thrones animated series.

We were glued to Game of thrones for eight years during it’s run time. It is a show that received massive fan love across the world. Well, a few months back it was announced that a prequel series is in the making. The series is titled ‘House of the Dragon‘ and HBO has given it a 10 episodes order. And now according to The Hollywood reporter, Game of thrones animated series is in the making for HBO Max. It also states that this is far from official, and executives are meeting with writers to discuss concepts and hear pitches. No deals are in place and there remains a chance that the show won’t go forward .

But what is exciting is the possibility of this animated series coming to fruition as it can be a very interesting concept for the viewers to experience. Fans are already very excited about the prequel to Game of thrones titled ‘House of the dragon‘. According to some sources, along with House of the dragon, a series adaptation of ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg‘, a prequel to the events of Game of Thrones, is in early development at HBO as well. And if the animated series is also confirmed, the series will be the third venture under the Game of thrones world.

The confirmed series ‘House of the dragon’ stars Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’ Arcy in lead roles. Based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood, the series will tell the story of House Targaryen (a.k.a. the House that gave us the Mother of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen) and take place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
