The pride march this year was a special one for it was Mumbai’s first after the Supreme Court scrapped the archaic Section 377 last year. Here’s how the city celebrated love, rainbows and #MumbaiPride2019

Not so long ago, Twitterverse had showered their love and affection for and in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community last year in September after the historical Supreme Court Order. May it be the lighting up of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in colourful shades or the coming together of parents of people who identify as queer, there is a lot that happened in the past two days. Let’s go through the highlights of #MumbaiPride2019 and document these in our memories, shall we?

First off, here’s the tweet announcement about the lighting up of the UNESCO World Heritage Building:

People truly took to the streets for and with pride!

Voices were raised and heard out loud!

Some precious moments when time halted a while.

In the end, all we can is, Happy Pride!
