#ICYMI: Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday starrer ‘Tu Meri Main Tera..Main Tera Tu Meri’ trailer released; Homebound shortlisted for the Oscars

From highly anticipated trailers to announcements we didn’t see coming our way, there’s a lot to get into this week so without further ado let’s get started! 

As the second part of Stranger Things’ final season approaches us, Netflix dropped the trailer for volume 2 and it only has us anticipating next week to come as soon as possible! Next week, we also have Ananya Panday and Karthik Aaryan starrer Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri releasing and the trailer for it finally dropped this week. Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Homebound has been shortlisted for the Oscars and industry is over the moon for the cast and crew. Steven Spielberg’s next film Disclosure Day’s first glimpse is out and we’re intrigued to see how the film unfolds further!

Vir Das’ directorial debut ‘Happy Patel’ teaser released

The teaser for Vir Das' upcoming debut directorial, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoosis out.  Produced by Aamir Khan and Vir Das, the film is set to release on January 16, 2026. The teaser shows the titular hero has failed to enter MI7, seven times. Happy Patel also is unaware of the fact that he is an Indian, and is sent to India for a mission.  The cast of the film also includes Mithila Palkar, Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi, Srushti Tawade, Aamir Khan and Imran Khan making a comeback on-screen.

Karthik Aaryan and Ananya Panday starrer ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ trailer released 

The makers ofTu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Merihave finally released the trailer of the film. The story follows the story of Ray(Kartik Aaryan), a carefree young man who believes in loving just one person for life while considering other relationships as casual flings. During a layover after arriving from Los Angeles, Ray unexpectedly meets Rumi(Ananya Panday), a writer, and sparks fly between them. The trailer hints at how their romance faces challenges when they return to their own realities. Conflicting views on marriage and future plans lead to emotional struggles and personal dilemmas, setting the stage for the film's drama.

Netflix drops a teaser for what to expect in Stranger Things season 5 volume 2 

Netflix released the trailer for the second batch of episodes in the ongoing fifth and final season of the hit series on Monday. It finds viewers back with Will Byers in the moments immediately after the discovery that he has telekinesis powers similar to those of Eleven. We also see snippets of Max and Holly navigating their escape from the mind trap that Vecna has them confined in. There also seems to be a revelation by Dustin about the terrifying dimension where Vecna resides. The fifth season of Stranger Thingsfinds the gang united for the same mission: defeat the villainous Vecna once and for all. Volume 2 drops on December 26, 6.30 am IST.

Kim Seon-Ho and Go Youn-Jung’s highly anticipated trailer for ‘Can This Love Be Translated?’ is finally out!

A steamy romance brews between Korean pop-star Cha Mu-hee(Go Youn-jung) and her multilingual interpreter Joo Ho-Jin (Kim Seon-ho) in the trailer of upcoming K-drama Can This Love Be Translated?The one-minute-22 second trailer introduces Cha Mu-hee, who is filming a television show at various locations across the globe while Joo Ho-jin accompanies her, communicating via Bluetooth earbuds, interpreting the world in a language only the two of them understand. Despite their contrasting personalities, the duo slowly develop feelings for each other and their relationship evolves as they spend more time together. The show is set to premiere on Netflix on January 16.

Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson led spy thriller ‘Ponies’ trailer unveiled 

In 1977, two secretaries working at the American embassy in Moscow become CIA operatives after their husbands die under mysterious circumstances. The American spy thriller starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson is set to release January 15.

Steven Spielberg's next film ‘Disclosure Day’ starring Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor trailer released

Hollywood icon Steven Spielberg's sci-fi project centered around UFOs and extraterrestrial objects just dropped its first trailer earlier this week. It's an exploration of an alien invasion as initially experienced by a meteorologist aka Emily Blunt and a passionate UFO whistleblower aka Josh O'Connor who want to share the truth with the world all at once. The movie is set to release in theatres June 12 next year.

Neeraj Ghaywan’s ‘Homebound’ shortlisted for Best International Feature Film at the Oscars

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound has been shortlisted for the Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category. The film stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. The official Oscar nominations will be announced on January 22. 

Netflix dropped the teaser for Emraan Hashmi starrer Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web 

The teaser of the upcoming Netflix series ‘Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web’ was unveiled on Wednesday. The series stars Emraan Hashmi in the role of Arjun Meena, a customs officer, and opens the gates to a world where every suitcase could hide a secret and every passenger could be a suspect. The series is set to release on January 14. 

Hugh Jackman describes Neil Diamond Tale Song Sung Blue as a ‘Working-Class Fairytale’

Universal Pictures India (distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery) is set to strike an emotional chord with audiences as Song Sung Blue arrives in Indian theatres on 9th January 2026. Based on an extraordinary true story, Song Sung Blue pairs Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson in a rousing musical love story about two dreamers who refuse to let life quiet their song. Jackman stars as Mike Sardina, a Vietnam veteran and recovering alcoholic scraping by on the gigging circuit, fixing cars by day and chasing stages by night - playing anywhere, for anyone, simply for the joy of it. Hudson plays Claire Stengl, a magnetic performer pouring her heart into a Patsy Cline act, her voice echoing with longing, grit, and hope.

Prime Video drops the teaser for Young Sherlock series

Prime Video unveiled the much-anticipated teaser of the upcoming thriller series ‘Young Sherlock’. Headlined by Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Guy Ritchie's show is the reimagination of Holmes at a young age. The eight-episode series follows the early adventures of the beloved detective. The series is set to premiere on March 4.
