A story of two couples who end up becoming pregnant through IVF after they fail to conceive naturally and the goof-up that follows the process, Good Newwz takes the audiences through a fun and entertaining ride. Varun and Deepti Batra, played by Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, belong to a well-to-do family living a sophisticated lifestyle while the other Batras, Honey and Monica, played by Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani are all loud and flashy. One mistake by the doctors causes the mix-up of sperms between the families and the movie then revolves around how they deal with the situation.
Staying true to the genre the director, Raj Mehta has maintained the scale of humour in the movie. Akshay's character is not in agreement with his wife to start a family but goes for the treatment to make her happy. Kareena excels in playing the modern-day woman who finds a balance between her profession and family. The pair reprise their magic on screen and glue us to the movie till the end. The new pair, Kiara and Diljit also do an equally amazing job in playing the over-excited couple adding up to the chaos and fun in the movie.
