Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the story of Govinda Naam Mera revolves around Govinda Waghmare(Vicky Kaushal), a struggling choreographer, who is stuck in a marriage where his wife Gauri (Bhumi Pednekar), dominates and insults him at every opportunity and his love for his girlfriend, Suku(Kiara Advani) who is a backup dancer just like him. But his problems snowball and life turns into a roller coaster ride when someone is murdered and he becomes the prime suspect. The film sets out to deliver an entertaining mix of comedy and mystery in this 90s-style thriller.
The one thing that the audience has been talking about the most is Ranbir Kapoor’s cameo in the film. While he was just there for a mere 2 minutes, he left a good enough impact and a smile on everyone’s face with his quirky dialogue delivery. After watching the trailer, a huge part of the Janta had no expectations of a good story from this film which is why it came as a total surprise when they were invested in the constant twists and turns throughout the film.

Don't judge a book by its cover. In other words don't just this movie just watching the trailer #GovindaNaamMera is a must watch movie. It was rollercoaster ride. There was comedy, drama, emotions, thriller, suspense and what a climax. Kudos to Shashank for making this movie

My expectations were on the floor but this film surprisingly exceeded shut me up. 2 hours flew by with laughter. Fun story as well with some great twists. Watched #GovindaNaamMera and can I just say that I really didn’t see that coming in the end. I laughed and was intrigued. Holy shit Vicky was too fun and had fun portraying Govu.Kiara did amazing and that one scene in police station,she killed it. Bhumi was amazing @advani_kiara
