Ganesh Gaitonde, Sartaj Singh, Kavya Kulkarni, Dhruv Vats – ring a bell? We’re sure they do! 2018 was swamped with amazing series and content! Shows like Sacred Games are finally reinstilling the audience’s faith in Indian scripts and drama.

There were some shows that gained humongous fan following while others that remained underrated. Nonetheless, the talent and shows were equally appreciable. Youngsters are surely proving their mettle by giving amazing and raw performances which we’re loving! It finally looks like the cats of our shows are not just about physical beauty anymore!

Here’s a list of some of the most amazing Hindi series 2018 that you MUST watch if you haven’t already:

1. Sacred Games – Netflix

This show doesn’t require any introduction, does it? The story of Gaintonde and Sartaj Singh gripped everyone and left us wanting for more!

2. Breathe – Amazon Prime

Two men engage in a thrilling chase to protect the one they love. Also, we have the series has the hot R. Madhavan and Amit Sadh, do you need any other reason?

3. Little Things (Season 2) – Netflix

Fans were eagerly waiting for this series’ second season after the first one gave them quite some emotional moments. The second season got mixed reviews but is surely worth watching once.

4. The Trip (Season 2) – bindass.com

The 4 female protagonists (except Lisa Haydon who was replaced by Amyra Dastur) continue their journey together after they took a road trip in the first season. Fans of the show were eagerly waiting for the second one to start rolling!

5. Haq Se – ALT Balaji

The series touches on the lives of four sisters who have different dreams but the same goal –fulfillment. It very nicely sets the backdrop of Kashmir and follows the girls’ journey. Rajeev Khandelwal is also an integral part.

6. What The Folks (Season 2) – Dice Media

Following the basic storyline of the first season, the show is about modern families that are breaking societal stereotypes in their own way. The series is highly relatable to every section of the society, especially youngsters.

7. Girl In The City (Season 3) – bindass.com

The story of Meera Sehgal (Mithila Palkar), a girl who has come to the city of dreams, Mumbai to fulfill her dream of being a fashion designer, continues in its 3rd leg. Meera progresses forward and her life becomes even more interesting.

8. It Happened In Hong Kong – Viu

It is a digital travel romance series in association with the Hong Kong tourism board. Amol and Aahana meet by chance in the city while on a solo trip and hit it off instantly. Their travel story depicts their special moments.

9. Kaushiki – Viu

This is a classic tale of a group of friends who, on the outside are sorted and loving towards each other. But when their dark secrets are revealed, their personalities are totally different than what they show.

10. Official CEOgiri – Arre

This is a continuation of the series Official Chukiyagiri, starring Sumeet Vyas. The “Drone” CEO has come out of hiding and is going berserk as he has only 2 months to save his company. Will he be able to do it?

11. Adulting – Dice Media

It is a story of two women trying to cope up with the fast-paced lives in Mumbai and handle the responsibilities of being an adult. It is a very relatable topic for youngsters and hence popular.

12. Yeh Meri Family – TVF

This show takes you down the nostalgic path of the glorious 90s by depicting the day to day life of a middle class family of that time. It is hilarious and brings back all the memories of childhood!

13. Ghoul – Netflix

Nida Rahim is appointed to interrogate one of the most soughted after terrorist, Ali Saeed. However, the tables turn when Saeed starts revealing the darkest secrets of the interrogators, which leads Nida to believe that he is possessed with some supernatural entity.

14. Mirzapur – Amazon Prime

The show focuses on the crime and mafia world in the state of Uttar Pradesh, focusing on the city of Mirzapur and its gangs. It is a thriller and quite gripping.

15. The Bachelors (Season 2) – TVF

The show is hilarious as it explores the daily drama and problems of the life of a typical bachelor; be it cooking or living on a budget. Season 2 has brought in the internet’s favorite Jeetu which makes it even funnier.

16. Side Hero – Eros Now

Bollywood has always glorified the hero, but what about his best friend? What about the side hero? This show takes you on a journey of a side hero (Kunaal Roy Kapur) and how he struggles through his passion for acting.

17. The Reunion – The Zoom Studios

4 schoolmates meet after a decade at a school reunion and realize the past and its memories are important to move forward. Many ups and downs are seen before this realization hits though.

18. Ready 2 Mingle – The Zoom Studios

Two lovers start playing cupid and organize parties for singles. Their business is a hit and it is soon revealed that the couple is in a fight themselves. What happens now?

19. Home – ALT Balaji

A typical happy middle class family is shown battling the authorities and government as they are served with an eviction notice. It is said to be based on a true story.

20. XXX – ALT Balaji

This is one of the few shows in India that has explored erotica as a genre. The series revolves around 5 different stories and the aspects of their sexual relationships.

21. The Dysfunctional Family – ALT Balaji

Samar returns home with his wife after running away from his family and the army 8 years ago. The story revolves around how this leads to betrayals and emotional melt downs and how the family copes with it.

22. Love Lust & Confusion – ALT Balaji

The show explores all the deepest dilemmas of every millenial. The constant struggle of making the right decision and having fun as well is portrayed nicely.

23. What's Your Status - Cheers!

The story narrates the tale of 3 different people, going through 3 different phases of life - Single, committed, and married. What lies in store for them?

24. Comicstaan - Amazon Prime

Comicstaan is India's first comedy talent hunt/reality show. It features all our favorite comedians as judges and is very well drafted.

25. Twisted (Season 2) - Vikram Bhatt

For those who have watched the first season, the second installment only gripped them more as the lead couple start working together in this erotic thriller!

26. Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone - ZEE5 

As the name suggests, this show tells the story of Indian Canadian actress, Sunny Leone. It piqued people's interest as she is one of the few people who have come out with their story openly.

26. Ragini MMS - ALT Balaji

The story is set in the back drop of a college that has some secrets, and is supposedly haunted. Add the extra excitement of the whole MMS leaking, and it is nail biting to watch!

27. Gandii Baat - ALT Balaji

It is a small series, showing a different erotic story in each episode. The catch? All the stories are from rural India.

28. Engineering Girls - The Timeliners

As the name suggests, the story is about a group of 3 girls in engineering college and how they survive it. It takes a different angle than the typical engineering boys side, which is interesting.

29. College Romance - The Timeliners

This is a cliche story of 3 best friends who fall in love and their shenanigans. It is a good watch if you want to take a break from watching all the intense stuff.
