The new trailer of Sony Pictures Animation's fourth and final installment of the animated movie series, Hotel Transylvania 4 or also known as Hotel Transylvania: Transformania was released on Tuesday. The movie, based on the characters by Todd Durham was in the works from 2019 and was initially set to release on December 22nd, 2021. This movie revolves around Drac who runs a hotel for the monsters while looking after his daughter. His daughter then goes on to marry a human and from thereon, the story takes the audience through a ton of madness.
The new trailer shows Johnny, Mavis's husband struggling to be accepted in the family of monsters since he's human. In the hope of fitting in, he uses the 'Monsterfication Ray' to transform himself into a monster. The story then takes a different turn as things go south and other monsters turn into humans.
While Dracs transformed on-screen, it was also his transformation off-screen as Adam Sandler who voiced the character in the previous installments decided to not be part of the finale. He has been replaced by Brian Hull. It was also reported that Genndy Tartakovsky who directed the earlier series will not be directing the last movie. Instead, he will be a part of this movie as the screenwriter. The fourth installment is directed by Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon. The cast of the movie includes Andy Samberg as Johnny Loughran, Selena Gomez as Mavis, Kathryn Hahn as Ericka Van Helsing, Steve Buscemi as Wayne, David Spade as Griffin, Keegan-Michael Key as Murray, Asher Blinkoff, Brad Abrell, Fran Drescher as Eunice, Jim Gaffigan as Professor Abraham Van Helsing, and Molly Shannon. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is currently slated for a July 23 release date.
