It was the 20th IIFA awards last night and it is all we can talk about. Hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana, IIFA 2019 saw all the celebs meet to enjoy and celebrate the movies they made throughout the year. It was a night of awards and a lot of glamour. While a number of movies were talked about, few got lucky and went home with multiple awards.
IIFA is also about the time of the year when the people have their eyes not only on the awards but also the Green Carpet. After quite a long time IIFA was hosted in India and the aptly-set theme for the night was Homecoming. Celebs walked the Green Carpet at IIFA 2019 with the best of their outfits. Some went all out and sparkled, while others tried understated classic looks and a handful didn’t hold back from experimenting with their looks and outfits (Yes, Ranveer included. Of course, Ranveer included).
Here are some outfits that we could not help but drool over:
- Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone wore a beautiful Electric Violet Gown by Gaurav Gupta — with dramatic sleeves and a gossamer tulle hood, complemented with a soft feather trail.
2. Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh, known for the fashionista he is wearing an outfit by Moschino and walked the carpet as a modern-day Viking warrior.
3. Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt who won the best actor female award for Raazi looked alluring in an outfit by Paris based designer Georges Chakra.
4. Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan looked like a real-life version of Cinderella in a dreamy yet extravagant outfit by Gaurav Gupta.
5. Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor looked dapper in an all-black outfit by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. The detailing on his jacket made his outfit stand out.
6. Ishaan Khattar
Ishaan Khattar who won the award for debut male complemented his brother and wore an all-black suit as well.
7. Vicky Kaushal
Stealing all the hearts, Vicky Kaushal wore a tuxedo by Nauman Piyarji and completed the look with shoes by Jimmy Choo
8. Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana the host of the show made a charming entry with his real-life Dream Girl, wife Tahira Kashyap. His brother and co-host for the evening Aparshakti Khurana and wife Aakriti Ahuja posed with them on the Green Carpet.
10. Karan Johar
Karan Johar walked the Green Carpet in an outfit designed by Gaurav Gupta. The swag in his pout matched the attitude his jacket added to his all-black outfit.
11. Madhuri Dixit Nene
The Dhak dhak girl, Madhuri Dixit Nene had our hearts beating faster in a red off-shoulder gown by and her million-dollar smile.
12. Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif looked dazzling as always in an embellished outfit.
13. Radhika Apte
When in doubt, go Gucci! Radhika Apte walked the Green Carpet in a stunning outfit by Gucci with ruffled detailing around the bodice.
