Representation of Queer Characters in entertainment is very essential and though it has always been in existence what wasn’t there before was representation in the correct light. But with recent times and especially in 2020 we saw some brilliantly portrayed and well-written queer characters

2020 has been a major year for content. Different subjects were explored in 2020 but what also is really commendable is that the entertainment industry managed to represent the queer community in the right light and gave some really multi-dimensional queer characters. The characters were not stereotyped and the shows and movies explored the characters without mocking them. Yes, some regressive films and shows did make a dent in the progress these films and characters managed to bring. But that’s not going to stop us from celebrating the incredible queer characters we witnessed on screen.

A cinephile who likes to watch and discuss Cinema. I like to write about films because I find that very fulfilling. And for me, films are not just a mere source of entertainment, they are an integral part of my life. Reading reviews and articles about films always gives me an insight and I hope my writing does that too.
