ICC Women's T20 World Cup

Team India will play their first finals at ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 after rain washes off their semi-finals match with England on Thursday.

It was a happy and a sad day for the Indian women's cricket team on Thursday 5th March 2020. The team that entered its maiden semi-finals was to face England to make it to the finals of ICC Women's T20 World Cup. However, the team made it to the finals without a match as the rain caused a hindrance. The Sydney Cricket Ground saw heavy downpour on Thursday morning with no sign of slowing down. By 10.l:44 IST the Umpires and the Referees called off the match and declared that India had made it through the finals. India got through as they won each group and finished at the top of Group A whereas England finished in the second position. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur was upset that the match had to end this way but said that she respects the rules. India will play against South Africa on Sunday for their first final at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020.
