Christmas

Winter is slowly entering our lives and along with it comes the ultimate Christmas feels but I wonder how early is too early to start showing my Christmas excitement that I simply cannot seem to contain!

Once Diwali was celebrated it almost felt like none of us were ready to let go of all the lights and positive vibes the festival brought and the only other festival that offers the same amount of hype and joy this time around is Christmas. But we’re also stuck in this awkward phase where it’s not exactly December but winter definitely has begun which makes me constantly miss the Christmas feels and everything we could do this year to make it even more exciting. Wanting to wrap up the year on good terms is something all of us strive towards all year round and Christmas plays a huge role in igniting that feeling for me.

Not everyone has Christmas as their first priority though especially people who have birthdays in November and December; those poor souls don’t even get the chance to have the spotlight on them amidst all the constant Christmas chatter. Thankfully, I'm not one of them. While I know how precious this festival is to me, if there's anything I've learned over the years is that there are two sides to everything. Too much of anything can also be boring! This makes me wonder if I'm using all my energy just hyping Christmas and when the time actually comes to celebrate it, will I really feel up for it? Would the introvert in me not wear me out? While I don't have an answer to this, I’ll never stop chasing that warm fuzzy feeling this time every year!

It’s sweater weatherrrr!

Cannot wait to take out my oversized hoodies and sweaters. Also, it’s the best outfit option that there is because there’s not a single person who’d not look good in winter outfits.

Decorating the Christmas tree!
Living in an apartment might not allow me to have as big a Christmas tree as we see in the movies but decorating a small one with your friends is also just as fun!

Christmas advent calendars are the best way to build anticipation for the festival. Starting December 1 you open one small gift each day till December 25 and these little gifts can be the best thing ever!

Playing Secret Santa or White Elephant!
If you’re a fan of these games, you know you have to start looking for the perfect gifts now. Both Secret Santa and White Elephant build so much suspense around whose gift will end up with whom and that’s something I cannot wait to experience with my friends, family, and colleagues.
