New Update
Delhi Crime Season 3

The much-awaited new season of Delhi Crime is finally out on Netflix. And while some of the janta have embraced its shift toward a more dramatic thriller style, others have found the season disappointingly uneven.

When a show grows bigger than what it originally set out to be, audience expectations inevitably rise with it and that’s precisely what’s happening with the new season of Delhi Crime. Now with its third installment, starring Shefali Shah, Rasika Duggal, Rajesh Tailang and others the series has become a lens through which Delhi itself transforms into both a threat and a chilling reminder of the fear women navigate in a deeply patriarchal society. It also continues to examine the tragic cycle in which a survivor of oppression can, over time, become an oppressor within the same system. But while the intention remains powerful, the execution falters. This season leans into a far more dramatic, conventional approach to storytelling, something the janta has definitely picked up on. For many, this is the weakest season of Delhi Crime yet, with comments about the performances feeling overly theatrical and the narrative trying too hard. Others, however, can’t help but enjoy the shift, praising Huma Qureshi’s turn as a menacing villain and appreciating the more thriller-driven structure. And even though the janta is divided, one tweet sums it up perfectly that watching Delhi Crime Season 3 may feel underwhelming but on most days, an underwhelming Delhi Crime is still better than most shows.
