Dupahiya starring Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane released over the weekend on Prime Video and here's the Janta's verdict on it!
'Dupahiya' is Prime Video's new slice of life web series. It features Gajraj Rao as Bhugol Amavas, a seemingly simple villager, and Renuka Shahane in a prominent role. The narrative unfolds in the fictional village of Dhadakpur and revolves around a series of intriguing events that disrupt the tranquility of rural life. It has a 25-year streak of being crime-free until it wasn't anymore! The tranquility is shattered when a prized motorcycle, purchased as dowry for an upcoming wedding, mysteriously vanishes.
'Dupahiya' has garnered a mixed reception, primarily centered on its portrayal of rural life and its handling of social issues.

Dupahiya is such an amazing show about how patriarchy affects both women and men. It has a sensitive emotional undertone despite its comedic nature. Love women directors

A really funny, intelligent and clean satire. Encompassing significant social issues like Women Empowerment, Education, Dowry, Racism in a light and subtle way, Dupahiya is a Must Watch.

Finished watching Dupahiya on Amazon prime yesterday. It's a lovely show to watch with a mix of Panchayat and some rural comedy in it as well. Cast and dialogues were amazing in the show

New talent coming up, binge watching for the weekend.
Acting : 5/5
Story: 5/5
Direction:5/5
#DupahiyaOnPrime #DupahiyaReview the fake Bihari accents of some of the main characters is harsh on the ears especially Renuka Sahane’s. Casting is problematic. Original Bihar/Eastern UP actors should have been cast. A good storyline ruined by bad Bihari accents

Du Pahiya is funny but the accents could have been better
