Dabba Cartel released on Netflix on February 28 and here's what the Janta had to say about the series!
'Dabba Cartel' is a web series directed by Homi Adajania, featuring an ensemble cast led by Shabana Azmi as Ayesha, a seemingly ordinary housewife who heads a secret cartel. The series follows a group of housewives who, under the guise of a dabba delivery service, run a clandestine drug operation.
'Dabba Cartel' appears to be a series that sparks diverse opinions, primarily revolving around its stellar cast and execution. Many viewers are captivated by the exceptional performances, particularly highlighting Shabana Azmi and Nimisha Sajayan and talking about the fact that they played their characters with such conviction. They became a reason for many to stay engaged throughout the series. However, some also found the series to be disappointing, criticizing its predictable storyline and lack of connection with the characters, despite an intriguing premise. They perceived it as trying too hard to be "real and raw," ultimately falling short of delivering a good story overall.

Hats off to #DabbaCartel team for putting together this cast. Each and everyone is perfectly cast for their role, and equally excellent.

The show has its dull patches, but you just cant look away - there is so much acting brilliance in every frame. pic.twitter.com/RaMovZ8QeQ
I was waiting so excitedly to watch Dabba Cartel but it disappoints..

The characters on paper seem intriguing but on screen I couldn’t connect even with one.
The premise is so promising but the execution faltered somehow.
Too predictable and boring. pic.twitter.com/dB2rP8CIsy
Absolutely loved #DabbaCartel, just couldn't stop praising #ShabanaAzmi in every scene. Also didn't know #NimishaSajayan was such a brilliant actor.

The web-series has 7 episodes (with wacky & fun BGM) and not a single minute got us bored. Totally justifies the superb casting. pic.twitter.com/upJHyFWrHK
REVIEW #DabbaCartel : it’s the show of the year! Compelling writing, storytelling, powerful cast, brilliant acting, it’s fast paced and an edge of the seat series you’ve been longing for.

Everyone plays a pivotal role. There are a lot of ups! Casting is top notch. Watch it!…
A gripping tale of crime, betrayal, and dominance #DabbaCartel delivers it all! The family angle feels inspired by #Ozark, but with fierce desi women at its core. The #SaasBahuAurFlamingo comparison is inevitable, yet both reign in their own league. #ShabanaAzmi steals the show! pic.twitter.com/8yZymRqulX

dabba cartel is watchable-ish because of the cast etc but man, the writing is just so bafflingly amateurish and devoid of thought of depth even remotely. Can’t seem to decide if it’s going to be intricate or pop and kind of just sits there being neither

negative reviews for dabba cartel.

Watching Dabba Cartel trying too hard to be real and raw and failing badly but still fun thanks to the ensemble star cast. Where else can you see gajraj rao and nimisha sajayan and that cracker from raat jawan hai along with Shabana Azmi Lillete dubey. Very predictable

#DabbaCartel is an absolute banger! 🔥 And it’s even better with Nimisha and Jyotika being stupendously good ♥️

Nimisha steals the show effortlessly , such a refreshing change after the monotonous roles she’s been handed in Malayalam
Mazaa nahi aaya..
