DABBA

Dabba Cartel released on Netflix on February 28 and here's what the Janta had to say about the series!

'Dabba Cartel' is a web series directed by Homi Adajania, featuring an ensemble cast led by Shabana Azmi as Ayesha, a seemingly ordinary housewife who heads a secret cartel. The series follows a group of housewives who, under the guise of a dabba delivery service, run a clandestine drug operation. Nimisha Sajayan portrays Frey Raymond, a key member of the cartel, while other notable actors like Gajraj Rao, Lillete Dubey, and Jisshu Sengupta play pivotal roles in the gripping drama. The story delves into the complexities of their double lives, balancing domesticity with dangerous criminal activities.

'Dabba Cartel' appears to be a series that sparks diverse opinions, primarily revolving around its stellar cast and execution. Many viewers are captivated by the exceptional performances, particularly highlighting Shabana Azmi and Nimisha Sajayan and talking about the fact that they played their characters with such conviction. They became a reason for many to stay engaged throughout the series. However, some also found the series to be disappointing, criticizing its predictable storyline and lack of connection with the characters, despite an intriguing premise. They perceived it as trying too hard to be "real and raw," ultimately falling short of delivering a good story overall.
