This biopic sports drama follows the life of maverick coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who, despite all odds, created history at the Asian Games of 1962, where, for the first and, unfortunately, the last time, team India also won the cup against the reigning champions South Korea! Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma (Badhaai Ho),Maidaan stars Ajay Devgn in the lead with an entire lineup of exceptional talent including Priyamini, Gajraj Rao, and more!
Released on Eid, the film seems to have made a special place in the hearts of the Janta. Some appreciate the background score while others enjoy the film's period look. It's the first time I got goosebumps while watching football. All the actors, including Ajaya Devgan, did a good job, and the cinematography and direction were exceptional and praiseworthy.
