Sanya Malhotra starrer 'Mrs' released on Zee5 and the Janta has been all praises for the actor's performance in the film. Have a look!
‘Mrs' is a Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie, 'The Great Indian Kitchen', directed by Arati Kadav. The movie revolves around the life of Richa, played by Sanya Malhotra in the Hindi version, who just got married in an arranged marriage setting, and her life has changed as she finds herself confined to her domestic sphere, only catering to the needs of her in-laws from cooking to cleaning. Her passion for dance and basic desires are not considered at all. Her husband, Diwakar, played by Nishant Dahiya, is oblivious to Richa’s needs, as he also has a traditional mindset, and he thinks Richa should adhere to those norms and that thought process he gets from his father, played by Kanwaljit Singh. The film portrays the reality of how patriarchal Indian families can be.
The Janta has had rather positive reactions to this film and resonated deeply with Sanya Malhotra's character. The viewers also felt the movie should be watched by everyone, especially men who are at the cusp of getting married. While some reactions tell us that the screenplay could have been better, Sanya Malhotra's performance was still impactful enough to carry the whole film from the first scene to the last!

And, it’s particularly impactful for people who wish to understand the importance of equality in relationships.
watched Mrs on Zee5. A brutal, but excellent movie that black-pills you about conventional gender roles. Finding the right life partner is truly a gamble and one can only hope you're compatible and have compatible values. No wonder single women are happier than married women.

#MrsMovieReview ⭐⭐⭐ #SanyaMalhotra delivers a fantastic performance, and the film’s subject is impactful. However, a stronger screenplay could have made it even better. Worth a one-time watch! #Mrs #MrsReview pic.twitter.com/DCBfUdESYF

Thanks to @allthingabsurd I got to watch this amazing movie. Mrs encapsulates all the shades of a housewife and the abuse that are often overshadowed under the burden of societal norms of household duties. A must watch. pic.twitter.com/0kHZVQXYyb

#Mrs on #ZEE5 has #SanyaMalhotra playing her part of an ambitious woman trapped in the clutches of patriarchy, with conviction. However, the monotonous writing evokes disinterest at points,to an extent that when the character faces off her in laws, it feels highly ineffective. pic.twitter.com/hs84dO8Jxn

Mrs. on @ZEE5Global is such a chilling reality check. Families who expect their daughters never to lift a spoon at their in-laws are the same ones who turn a daughter-in-law into a full-time maid. No matter how much she does, it’s never enough. The double standards are wild.
