The much-anticipated Paatal Lok season 2 leaves the Janta fawning over Jaideep Ahlawat and the show, which, according to them, lives up to the legacy left behind by season 1.
Five years after Paatal Lok took the country by storm, becoming a cultural sensation with its gritty narrative and raw portrayal of India's moral decay, everyone eagerly awaited a follow-up. However, as often is the case with sequels of shows we like, the anticipation comes with a healthy dose of anxiety. Will this season live up to the first one? Will it fall short or, in rare cases, surpass the original?
Since its release, audiences have been binge-watching the show. Like the first season, people fixated on the smallest details like the scenes between Choudhary and Ansari, references to Nagaland and taking note of minor characters. Some found the storytelling sharp and the performances, particularly Jaideep Ahlawat's as Hathi Ram Chaudhary, on point as many declared that they're watching the show solely for him.

Here's what the Janta is saying!
Paatal Lok Season 2 is one of the finest web shows India has produced till date. Terrific writing! pic.twitter.com/Lp7C01Mv66

Paatal Lok Season 2 is everything I expected it to be and more. It’s outstanding! Sudip Sharma and his team hit it out of the park yet again. Monumental writing, staging and filming. Hathi Ram Chaudhary is one of the greatest characters ever written. Take a bow, Jaideep Ahlawat.

Impossible to beat the impeccable casting of Paatal Lok! However, the screenplay so far this season is a tad less impressive. https://t.co/0SbZbReVi5

Season 2 of Paatal Lok had the tough job of following an incredible first season, but it absolutely delivered. So well-written, layered, and acted. Arguably the best TV show I’ve seen from this country.

Paatal Lok S2 is somewhat different than S1, but more dense in story, and investigation. It gets the politics right without being preachy.

Hathiram is my hero! What a solid character...Jaideep is top notch again. Mazza aya! pic.twitter.com/BqAY0EmDqp
The writers of Paatal Lok Season 2 have brought the reality of the people of Bihar in front of everyone. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari or Nagaland, you will find Bihari labourers doing illegal work. pic.twitter.com/JLkA6bNnNP

Story North East pe based hai, actors bhi wahi ke hai, Koi adult scene nahi, bas 1-2 gali jo notice bhi nahi hoti Hatiram jab bolta hai 😅
Ekdum fresh new story, must watch! 👍🏻
It was nostalgic to see Prashant Tamang in Paatal Lok S2. At one point of time, he was the most prominent Gurkha in the world. And he changed the destiny of Darjeeling's politics.

Also - I didn't miss the scenes shot in St. Paul's, Darjeeling. Our arch nemesis!
Sursum Corda.
15 minutes of Paatal Lok 2 and Jaideep Ahlawat is so good. I think he's one of the only few good actors left in the country.

PaatalLok is a rare series which maintained standard in 2nd season. The dialogues and Hathiram Choudhary are just unstoppable. This is 1st gold standard webseries from India. #PaatalLok

Paatal Lok season 2 is brilliant. Only a few showrunners know how to make each episode even more intriguing than the previous. Brilliant work by Avinash Arun.

Jaideep Ahlawat is a superstar.
Bollywood screenwriters, take notes from Paatal Lok. If your story is set in Nagaland, let the characters speak proper Nagamese — not Hindi with a Nagamese accent!

Just finished watching Paatal Lok Season 2, and here’s my review: Every second of this series is a masterpiece of acting and perfection.

Exceptionally well-written, with every character bringing depth and doing complete justice to their roles. This season takes us deeper into the complexities of the northern region—gripping and impactful!#patallok2 #amazonprime pic.twitter.com/rf67FUvjVq
