Helmed by Vipul Vig, Rahu Ketu is widely seen as a missed opportunity- a film with an intriguing premise that ultimately fails to capitalise on its potential.

Rahu Ketu, the latest comedy starring the fan-favourite duo Pulkit Samratand Varun Sharma, hit theatres last week, promising a quirky fusion of mythology, astrology, and slapstick humour to the big screen. Directed by Vipul Vig, Rahu Ketu follows two men-named after the shadow planets that govern desire and spirituality-brought to life by a writer (Manu Rishi Chadha), who wields a mystical book that turns every word written in it into reality. The buddy comedy opened to lukewarm response from critics owing to inconsistent writing, outdated gags, and underdeveloped plot arcs.

The sentiment has been largerly echoed by the Janta, and while they are showering praise for the leads' effortless chemistry and a few smart punchlines in the film, they are also expressing their disappointment over the forced jokes, over-the-top execution, and lack of genuine laugh-out-loud moments that turned Rahu Ketu into a chaotic mess that wastes a promising concept!
