The Stranger Things 5 finale dropped yesterday and that last crawl into the Upside Down has officially sent the Janta into a never ending discussion.
Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Steve, Robin, Nancy, Jonathan, Joyce, Hopper and of course Eleven along with a few more helping hands, enter the Upside Down one last time, with a final plan to end it once and for all. And while countless theories were racing to be proven right about how it would all end, what we got was something no one could have imagined. It turned out to be an emotional love letter to a show. But after the Stranger Things Season 5 finale, the world erupted into collective frenzy discussing the last episode and the Janta is writing tear filled love letters to the show, sharing their favourite moments, discussing about how the finale dissapointed them, and what they expect further!

Having Winona’s Ryder character be the one to finally finish off Vecna was honestly the best decision this show made. pic.twitter.com/VsWaspgBYF

So… Stranger Things has finally come to an end.

Was the ending perfect? No. But honestly, it never needed to be. Just like a D&D campaign, there will always be complaints from those watching from the outside. Plot holes will exist no matter how talented the Dungeon Master is —… pic.twitter.com/dSOc1NqYpj

SPOILERS: So beware.
There was something quietly beautiful, and a little bittersweet, about that scene with the four kids on the roof, promising they’d meet there every year. Watching it now, older and with a bit more life behind… pic.twitter.com/cv49ER3mlE
This was the best & my most favorite part of their 'final dnd campaign together'. the laughter, the giggles, the chaos, the cheers, everything just brought back all the s1 nostalgia. i love this so much 😭❤️ pic.twitter.com/cekRuAAVuq

This scene had my heart, it slowly spoke to us that, Mike’s childhood is over, and so is ours. We started watching this show in our teens and traveled with it for 10 plus years.

Clues that make it super obvious Eleven survived this - a thread:

1. You can see El being pulled out of the truck by a soldier confirming she made it past the gate. Then suddenly she vanishes the next shot. Multiple angles show the gate and no one is ever on the path, it is clear
If this was an illusion created by Kali, then Mike having that conversation with El was also Kali - because El could not have used powers with that kryptonite

So MIKE KISSED KALI🤯🫣#StrangerThings5#StrangerThingspic.twitter.com/0U6ot32Ro4
If you think every TV series has to slaughter half the cast in order to have “stakes”, you deserved that Game of Thrones ending you got.

I think there's more plotholes than just these...
— Jake Franklin (@jake_theviking) January 1, 2026
For example, what happened to the hole created by Nancy shooting the Exotic Matter? What happened to Max being blind? Why say music wasn't needed if that was the whole plot to S4? Was that the actual Hivemind? If not, where was… https://t.co/lyxaT4asEv
By FAR the most interesting part was the Vecna origin story in the cave with the man with the briefcase and the rock from the upside down. But we barely got any more insight on that whole storyline. Because they explain it all in THE PREQUEL PLAY ON BROADWAY. pic.twitter.com/S4q5cKSgyc

Stranger Things is probably the last show I’ve watched since Breaking Bad where I think the finale did the series justice.

Incredible series. Incredible finale. Really really good watch.

An animated series that follows the Hawkins group on an adventure set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the main show.

Netflix would be CRAZY not to sell this, either as a DnD book or a coffee table book for the entire series pic.twitter.com/VMpWaLSBeD

A satisfying finale to one of the best TV shows of the decade. I’m going to miss the hell out of a lot of these characters. This final season will face a lot of flak from cynics who want something darker and more mean spirited but… Stranger Things was never that. Thank you to… pic.twitter.com/t40qQTJpfC
