Stranger Things 5 Vol 1

Stranger Things 5 Vol 1 made Netflix crash since its release but gave the Janta a comeback towards the end that they couldn't get enough of; here's proof!

Only if you’ve been living under a rock would you have missed the fact that the final season of Stranger Things has dropped on Netflix. Season 5 is being released in three parts, out of which the first volume is already here. The excitement of its release was so massive that Netflix crashed globally as fans tuned in the moment it went live. Honestly, that isn’t strange at all. Stranger Things has been a decade-long phenomenon, a show where the kids grew up before our eyes, from tiny middle-schoolers to full-fledged adults. It was also the series that kickstarted many of our journeys into long-format storytelling and defined Netflix as we know it. Seeing it inch toward the end feels both heartbreaking and wildly exciting.

But with anything that grows larger than anticipated, fear always follows. Across its ten-year run, the show has had its fair share of dips, especially when its own creators began losing the narrative thread. Yet it rose again, stronger than ever, with the introduction of Vecna in Season 4, connecting the dots back to the beginning and reigniting global hype. And since then, fan theories have been spiraling everywhere about how the story will end. Of course, most of us assumed Will Buyers (Noah Schnapp) would be the key to everything but nobody could have predicted how he steps into that role in Episode 4, The Sorcerer of Volume 1

Before the release, the internet was busy panicking about Steve Harrington’spotential death (all thanks to the trailer barely showing him). Fans literally campaigned and had developed fielding for Steve’s safety than they might've ever done for themsleves. But after Vol 1 dropped, all eyes shifted to Will’s arc, which completely stole the spotlight. Since Season 1, Will has been the quiet outlier, different from the rest, always more in the background, even though he was the one kidnapped and marked by Vecna. His rise now feels almost Harry-Potter-codedas just like Harry, he is facing a noseless, uncanny villain with whom he shares a mind; carrying a piece of the monster within him; stepping up because he knows he must. The way he gathers strength from memories of friends to fight back feels straight out of Order of the Phoenix! And the same way he kills all demogorgons in Vecna's bone breaking style is revenge satisfaction pro max!

The show coulnd't be clearer how a whole lot of Stranger Things was all about Will. As Volume 1 truly belongs to him, from confronting his feelings to forming a surprising new friendship with Robin or rising up to his mother. But before we get comfortable, let’s remember that there are three more episodes in Volume 2 and thegrand finale is still pending. And the danger has never been more real as Vecna stated that Will and him have much to do! Steve, Dustin, Nancy, Jonathan, Eleven, and Hopper are already in the Upside Down, after fighting a demogorgon. Holly,Mike's sister and the other kids from her class are in Henry Creel’s clutches, depsite Joyce, Mike, Robin, Will and Lucas efforts to save them. Max is finally shown to be alive but trapped inside a memory that belongs to Vecna.

Volume 1 has set up more plots than we ever imagined with 008’s return, Will’s rise, Eleven’s evolving powers, Vecna’s next move, Max’s comeback, and the fall of the military. Now true fear begins because this is finally the end. It’s ride or die from here! Will Will sacrifice himself in order to kill Vecna? Or will Steve survive and make through while someone else dies like Dustin, breaking apart their friendship? The stakes are truly higher than before and the Duffer Brothers, if anything, prove with the four epidoes of Vol 1 that anything can still happen!
