‘The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan’ released on Netflix last weekend. Here’s what the Janta had to say about the iconic rivalry between the two teams!
In India, cricket is more than a game; it's an emotion. But when India faces Pakistan, the stakes are higher, the emotions are raw, and the passion reaches fever pitch! 'The Greatest Rivalry—India vs Pakistan' is a docu-series that examines the complex relationship between the two nations, both on and off the field. The story captures the duality of the India-Pakistan rivalry: the intense competition alongside the unexpected bonds of friendship, showcasing insights from a wide range of cricketing heroes, including Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag, Shoaib Akhtar, Ravi Ashwin, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Saurav Ganguly, and many more.
Based on reactions on X, the Janta did not seem that impressed with the documentary, as they believe it has missed out on a lot of key incidents in the series. For instance- Sachin Tendulkar’s iconic 136 or Anil Kumble’s all 10 wickets in an inning, were all skipped in the documentary. Not only did the docu-series not live up to the hype, but also failed to bring out the tense rivalry that the two teams are known to have on the field!

I recommend not to watch Netflix's documentary on India vs Pakistan Greatest Rivalry if you closely followed India's Pakistan tour 2004.

There's literally nothing special other than that and is a must watch if you missed that tour.#INDvPAK #CT25 pic.twitter.com/xMhn0odSHT
The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan really lays bare the issues with Pakistan's cricket team. Back in '92 they had this killer team spirit that won them the World Cup. But after that it seems like the players got more into chasing personal fame than playing for the country. pic.twitter.com/JdwckM1hr1

#TheGreatestRivalryIndiavsPakistan is a big let down. Those who have made it have never felt the tension, drama and excitement of Ind vs. Pak rivalry. When we have successfully dehypenated India-Pakistan.. it is a deliberate attempt to bring the hyphen back. Selective stories…

The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan” (Netflix series) didn’t quite live up to the hype, especially in terms of depth and historical significance. Key moments like Sachin Tendulkar’s iconic 136 in Chennai (1999), where he battled through pain under immense pressure, and the… https://t.co/6vBg0idmy0

Watching The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan on Netflix. Two episodes in, and so far, it’s just Sehwag and Shoaib hyping themselves up. Boring!

The greatest rivalry India vs Pakistan on Netflix is good but felt really rushed. I think more stories could've been covered in a much more dramatic and comprehensive manner. Was really disappointed they left out that Mohd Kaif catch in the 1st ODI and more such incidents.

cricket documentary on Netflix… what a disappointment. Felt redundant. 1.5 episodes (out of 3) for a series, that too not covered well and then rushed. Like as if they couldn’t get the rights to a lot of iconic footage.
Just watched India vs Pakistan- The Greatest Rivalry documentary on #Netflix. Quite boring. Nothing new and perhaps every #cricket lover would know all the facts. Focus mostly on India tour of Pakistan in 2004. They could have done it better with interesting stories.
