The highly anticipated season 2 of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein has recently been released on Netflix, carrying forward the legacy of a show that masterfully blends elements of dark comedy, obsessive love, and twisted heroism. Known for revamping the “SRK-villain-verse,” with a unique take of its own, the series stands out because it explores the blurred lines between heroism and being a villain through a deeply humanistic lens. The first season captivated everyone with its gripping tale of Vikrant desperately wanting to get his wife Purva killed as she was an obsessive woman with political influence whose fixation on Vikrant turned his life upside down and threatened his love story with Shikha.

Unsurprisingly, expectations for season 2 were high and for many, it did not disappoint! Social media platforms, particularly X (formerly Twitter), have been abuzz with praise for the season’s compelling and engaging storytelling. Many seem to have lauded the performances, especially those of Tahir Raj Bhasin and Shweta Tripathi, with the newest addition of Gurmeet Chaudhary exciting viewers further.

Though Anchal Singh’s presence was somewhat reduced this season, she made a strong impact with the time she had on screen. That said, not all feedback has been glowing. Some of the Janta felt that the second season didn’t live up to the intensity of the first.
