The Jhund trailer shows Amitabh Bachchan as a soccer coach who wants to make angry thuggish kids living in a slum play football for India.
After Sairat, and Fandry's critical and commercial acclaim, here comes another one from the genius storyteller, Nagraj Manjule. After much anticipation for the film and Nagraj and Amitabh Bachchan's collaboration, we finally have the Jhund trailer. While the film's music has already been making rounds for its uniqueness, Jhund looks like a story from another side of the track with a legend. And other than Amitabh Bachchan, Sairat stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru, both of who will be seen in pivotal roles.
According to the trailer, the film follows the story of Vijay Barse (Amitabh Bachchan), founder of an NGO called Slum Soccer, who wants to turn the lives of some thuggish kids living around in a slum around for good. The anger has consumed these kids and can easily take them on the wrong path for life. But Vijay sees their anger and stunts as an asset that can be channelized and turned in for playing football, probably for the nation one day. The mission that he is on is about making a Jhund a Team and that's a challenging one filled with struggles both for him and the kids.
Does this Jhund become a team? Guess we'll get to know on March 4 in the theatres. What are your thoughts on the trailer? Do tell us in the comments below!
