The Janta is obsessed with the old cinema aesthetic in Jubilee part 1 on Prime Video

Jubilee part 1 premiered on April 7 on Amazon Prime Video consisting 5 episodes of pure old cinema bliss!

Jubilee is a period drama series on Amazon Prime Video created and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. It's produced by Andolan FilmsPhantom Studios and Reliance Entertainment. The series gives us Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Sidhant Gupta, Wamiqa Gabbi and Ram Kapoor in lead roles. And also gives us Shweta Basu Prasad, Arun Govil,  Sukhmanee Lamba, Aarya Bhatta, Narottam Bain, Alok Arora and Suhani Popli at their best. While part 1 (episodes 1 to 5) was released on April 7, part 2 (episodes 6 to 10) will be releasing this following week.

This series showcases the movie industry's dreams, passion, ambition and love in the mid-1940s. As it revolves around the new era of post independence, it becomes difficult for the film industry to tussle with the changing landscape. The series also shows Hindi cinema's golden era and its role in shaping a young, struggling but ambitious nation’s dreams through the stories of three regular people.

The Janta was impressed by the the beauty and grandeur of old Indian cinema showcased in Jubilee and also the A+ aesthetics served by Aditi Rao Hydari. On the other hand, the Janta is appreciating the sets and costumes being so apt and authentic. Some viewers did find it a little slow at first but found the story rooted and meaningful.
