Band Of Boys' Karan Oberoi's Twitter account hacked!

Karan Oberoi, who was a part of pop band, Band Of Boys and has previously appeared in TV show, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, found himself at the receiving end of a Twitter hack that compromised his account.

Busy with the promotional duties of his upcoming movie 'Strawberry Point', Karan Oberoi acted quickly to recover his account and was rescued from being left red faced.

Upon receiving a call from a friend while he was attending IFFI and the screening of his film at Film Bazaar, Karan Oberoi was informed of the objectionable content being posted from his Twitter account.

The information was passed on to his IT team, who confirmed the hack and recovered his account after consulting with the relevant authorities.

In the meanwhile, Karan tweeted to assure about things that were once again back on track.

In a conversation with media, Karan Oberoi’s publicist, Vipul Jain, confirmed that though the account @IAmKaranOberoi was hacked, a team of professionals reacted spontaneously to get control of the twitter account. "Though some inappropriate messages and content were sent to few of his friends and colleagues, thankfully, everything came under control before it could cause serious harm to anyone.”

Karan says he has no plans of taking legal action against the perpetrators since no serious damage was caused and he has reached out to the friends who received the objectionable messages from the person who hacked his account.

“He has no plans to take any legal action as nothing destructive or harmful has been done by the hackers,” Vipul added further.
