KGF Chapter 2 hit the big screens on April 14 and made a huge stir at the box office. Loyal fans of the franchise had some really exciting things to say!
KGF Chapter 2 is a Kannada language period action film, written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. The film is the sequel to the epic first chapter which was released back in 2018 and finally hit the big screens after a really long wait. We see Yash stepping into the shoes of Rocky once again, a character that's the epitome of heroism and loved so much by the audience. Srinidhi Shetty plays Reena Desai, Rocky's wife. Then there are two of Bollywood's iconic actors who also join the cast in the second installment, both of them play characters who simultaneously challenge Rocky in different ways. We see Sanjay Dutt as Adheera, who wants to take KGF back from Rocky, and Raveena Tondon as Ramika Sen, the Prime Minister of India, who also wants to see his downfall. Prakash Raj as Vijayendra Ingalagi makes a good narrator of the story.
The second part focuses on Rocky's journey to the top as he wishes to conquer bigger things and battles with new enemies this time which are beautifully shot and are whistle worthy. The character of Adheera is inspired by the Vikings and all the other characters as well look larger than life on screen. The film crossed more than 500 crores worldwide and might even join the 1000 crore club by the end of this week since even late-night shows are house full!
