Once a villain, Loki is now on his way to save the universe from the multiverse and Kang The Conquerer in the new Loki season 2 trailer.
What is better than one Tom Hiddleston? More than one Tom in Loki's avatar! Fans have been looking forward to seeing more of Loki, especially after a successful season 1 series. The last time we saw Loki, things were not seeming quite in his favour. After years of being the bad guy, we saw him use his mischiefs to save the universe as another variant of his tried to destroy it. While the nexus events still ended up happening with us being introduced to Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), the troubles didn’t seem to end for our Asgardian God. Season one ended on a cliffhanger with the audience left to assume that Morbius (Owen Wilson) did not remember who Loki was after Sylvie broke the timeline and he returned to TVA (Time Variance Authority). But the Loki season 2 trailer makes it seem like the two are back to being friends and they have bigger fish to deal with.
After a bunch of Nexus events and being pruned into another universe, Loki is back at TVA along with Mobius to find a solution to deal with the multiverse. Loki however seems like he is suffering from a condition where he is sleeping through time. And he, along with Mobius, goes on to find a solution for it from Ke Huy Quan's character who is TVA's archivist OB. This also marks the Oscar-winning actor's Marvel debut. The new season will also feature Rafael Casal and Kate Dickie along with series regulars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tara Strong and Eugene Cordero.
Directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the season is written by Eric Martin. The series is set to release on DisneyPlus Hotstar October 6, 2023.
