16 migrant workers crushed to death after being run over by goods train in Aurangabad on May 8, 2020.
16 migrant workers hailing from Madhya Pradesh were run over by a train carrying goods in Aurangabad, Maharashtra on 8th May 2020, Friday. The workers were trying to return to their rural hometowns due to the coronavirus lockdown by walking on foot along the rail tracks. Several reports suggest that after walking around 37 kms, they sought to seek rest and fell asleep due to exhaustion on the track between Karnad and Badnapur. At 5:15 am in the morning, a goods train between Jalna and Aurangabad crushed them to death.
