Monica O My Darling starring Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte, and Huma Qureshi is set to release on Netflix on November 11!

A title that is inspired by the iconic song from the 70s “Piya Tu Ab Toh Aaja”, which also is the first thing you hear as soon as you play the trailer giving you all the retro vibes, Netflix’s Monica O My Darling looks just as promising as the song. We see Huma Qureshi as Miss Monica who becomes Rajkummar Rao’s worst nightmare when she blackmails him with photographs from an affair they had in the past and also tells him that the police are waiting for him. Looking rather shocked and confused, Rajkummar pleads in front of her but it’s all in vain. This is the cue for Sikander Kher and Bagavathi Perumal to enter his life and tell him that they’re being blackmailed by her as well. The three men come to the conclusion that the only way out of this abysmal situation is murder.

Well, a murder does take place but we’re not sure whose yet as the trailer manages to keep the suspense alive by not revealing much. But we see the trio walking on eggshells in order to get rid of the body. If that wasn’t enough, ACP Naidu played by the one and only Radhika Apte is here to investigate the very same murder and Rajkummar Rao is definitely on her radar of suspects. Hiding bodies and making impromptu excuses to cover his tracks is clearly not his daily routine, as he says.

Directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Matchbox Shots Production, Monica O My Darling definitely looks like it has a lot of moments that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. As the trailer also states that it’s made by the makers of Andhadhun, you surely feel the same roller coaster of chaos coming your way in this film as well! Radhika Apte and Huma Qureshi both portray bold women calling the shots in the story. Monica O My Darling also stars Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Sukant Goel, and Zayn Marie. We’ll get to see who’s got what move up their sleeve in this game of snakes and ladder on November 11!
