Every year we celebrate Diwali with our friends and family and everyone has their own ways to celebrate the festival of lights. The subjective way of celebrating Diwali shows how diverse our culture is, be it going out with friends or staying in for a Diwali family dinner. But one thing that remained the same was watching SRK and Salman Khan movies with our family every Diwali. Watching movie releases on Diwali eventually felt like a new ritual altogether thanks to these Khans.

Even though it felt like a guilty pleasure then, we all know we miss watching their movies on Diwali. After all, Diwali screams family time, and these movies do too. Spending quality time with family and friends, and watching these movies made sense back then. Watching Happy New Year on Diwali, a movie so funny and well written should be a must-watch with your loved ones. Not to forget the fam-jam movie of the 90s, Hum Saath Saath Hai, and the times we tried to plan our sangeet like the movie.
