You can never get tired of doing re-runs of your favourite Bollywood movies, when you are sad or happy or whether it's just a movie and chill night in instead of going for extravagant Saturday night parties. And what would bring you more joy than knowing that your favourite movies are coming back with sequels? We have listed all the movie sequels in 2020.

Here's a list of Bollywood movies that are all set to hit theatres in 2020:

Love Aaj Kal 2

Almost a decade after the success of Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama, a sequel is in the making. Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan will be taking the baton from Deepika and Saif to play the lead couple in this one. The movie is set to hit the theatres on 14th February 2020. All you love birds out there, they are releasing it on a nice day, aren't they?

Angrezi Medium

After the massive success of a rather low budget film 'Hindi Medium,' the makers are now back with a sequel called 'Angrezi medium.' Although, Irrfan Khan still plays the lead role it is said that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan will be seen in key roles alongside him. It is also the lead actor’s first film after defying cancer - making it all the more special for him and his fans. They are halfway through the shooting and the movie can be expected by mid-2020.

Baaghi 3

Tiger Shroff's series of an action film is back with the third sequel of the movie Baaghi. Along with Tiger Shroff, we have the leading lady Shraddha Kapoor from the first part after she was missing in the second one. Like all of Tiger's movies, we should definitely expect some enthralling action sequences as well as some of his excellent dance moves. Baaghi 3 is slated to release on 6th March 2020.

Sadak 2

Approximately 28 years ago, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt starred in one of the most iconic romantic films of all time. Now - in 2020, the duo is back with a sequel - Sadak 2. Only this time, they have Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor in company. It is also a comeback for Mukesh Bhatt in his directorial role - he hasn't directed a film in 20 years. The shooting is almost wrapped up and the film is ready to hit the floors on 25th March 2020.

Go Goa Gone 2

The first part of this movie was everything combined, thriller and horror with bits and pieces of comedy here and there throughout the movie. All in all, it was just a rough experiment which did pretty well. Hence, the team is back with a sequel - Go Goa Gone 2. The cast is maintained, with Vir Das, Kunal Khemu, Saif Ali Khan and Anand Tiwari playing lead roles. The release date is not known for now but it is expected to come out sometime this year.

Bhool Bhulaiya 2

Kartik Aaryan has big shoes to fill in this one as Akshay Kumar has already set the bar high with his perfect comic timing and brilliant acting in the initial remake of Manichitrathazhu. Bhool Bhulaiyaa was Bollywood’s first horror-comedy and gained a great response. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will have Kiara Advani playing the lead female and is due for a release in 2020.

Dostana 2

Karan Johar broke multiple stereotypes back in 2008 with Dostana. The audience too reacted pretty well to the movie and it went on to become a Bollywood blockbuster. Hence, Karan and his team decided to come with a sequel. Also, this is yet another sequel that stars Kartik Aryan with Janhavi Kapoor in the lead roles. All Dostana fans you wouldn't have to re-run Dostana for too long now, part 2 is on its way to becoming your new favourite.

Munna Bhai 3

The much loved Munna Bhai who entered our hearts with a Jadoo Ki Chappi will soon be back on screen. He will be accompanied by Circuit.  The movie will reportedly go on the floors in June this year. The movie's probable title is - "Munnabhai Chalein America" - is a hint towards this. Though the film’s release date hasn’t been given out yet, we’re hoping to see it hit the screens sometime in 2020.

Pyaar ka Punchnama 3

The cast of the movie remains intact as the makers have done it ever since the started this movie. Although, having seen two parts of the film already, parts which show the movie, relationships, love, etc from a boy's point of view, part 3 is said to be set from a girl's point of view. And we can't wait for this twist and hopefully expect a monologue that trends amongst the girls after Kartik Aryan's went viral. There is no concrete statement on the release date - it could be anytime this year.

Phir Hera Pheri 3

As we all know Phir Hera Pheri ended on a cliffhanger, which obviously put a sense of expecting another part amongst the audience. And since Phir Hera Pheri came out in 2006, the sequel has now been a long overdue. But that's because of some production issues and now that everything is pretty much resolved, the makers are ready to bring us the third instalment of brilliant acting and unmatchable hilarity from the most beloved trio by 2020 hopefully.

Yes, even Hollywood loves a re-make – and even with the below-mentioned movies that are currently in production, there is still a lot more for them to choose from. And if that doesn’t work, they could always re-boot Spider-Man. They’ve done that a fair few times over the years.

Triplets/Twins

The endearing story of two twins separated at Birth – played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito – turned 30-years-old last September. On the eve of its anniversary, rumours started to fly that a sequel was in the works, starring none other than Eddie Murphy. In February, those rumours were confirmed to be true, with Schwarzenegger confirming that Murphy had indeed be cast.

The Grudge

A remake of the American remake of the Japanese horror favourite, Grudge once again focuses on a vengeful ghost with a long memory. Critical darling Andrea Riseborough stars and director Nicolas Pesce has some form.

Birds of Prey

We last saw Margot Robbie’s wily Harley Quinn get in all kinds of trouble in Suicide Squad. What happens when she joins Birds of Prey, DC’s all-ladies team of adventurers? Sheer. Unadulterated. Mayhem. Along for the ride will be Jurnee Smollett-Bell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who was cast as Black Canary and Huntress, respectively, in September, and Rosie Perez, playing Renee Montoya. They will face off against Ewan McGregor as the Black Mask.

A quiet place part 2

Director John Krasinski returns to helm this sequel, which he also wrote, starring his real-life wife Emily Blunt, as it follows up with the Abbott family after the events of the first film. Judging from the first trailer, we’ll also get some flashbacks to the beginning of the… invasion? Infestation? Whatever you want to call it, it looks like Krasinski has done a bang-up job ratcheting up the tension, and audiences should be in for another great ride.

Mulan

Following Disney’s live-action remake trend comes Mulan, directed by Niki Caro of Whale Rider and North Country fame. Featuring Chinese star Liu Yifei as the titular character and a host of other Chinese legends like Donnie Yen, Gong Li, and Jet Li, this one is poised to conquer the global box office and – if it taps into the animated original’s magic – our hearts. It's all set to release on March 27, 2020.

Legally blonde 3

It’s been 15 years since we last saw Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) in Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde, and, like, why wouldn’t we want to see her again?! It’s been some time since Oscar-winner Witherspoon has had a hit movie comedy, but if you told us this was gonna be a smash we wouldn’t object.

Fast and furious 9

It’s full-throttle and pedal to the metal for the Toretto crime/adventure/anti-terrorism/what-even-are-they family yet again. Director Justin Lin was the man to turn the franchise around, delivering the series’ first Fresh entry on his third try with 2011’s Fast Five (Certified Fresh at 73%); since then, every Fast movie has landed on the red end of the Tomatometer. If you can’t wait for 2020 to see some bonkers car-based set pieces, there’s always the 2019 Fast spinoff Hobbes and Shaw to tide you over.
