Charli XCX is the new talk of the town after her Grammy win earlier this week. Here's why!

The 67th annual Grammy awards took place on February 2, and there are many highlights that the internet is raving over; from Beyoncé's history-making win to The Weeknd's comeback there was a lot to process. But Charli XCX's performance in particular has been trending all over social media for various reasons! Charli XCX, aka Charlotte Emma Aitchison's 2024 album 'Brat' was nominated by the Grammys this year. As an artist who is still in the initial stages of her career, and as someone who produces her own music videos, Grammys was a big night for her!

But that wasn't just it. She went on to win in the Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Recording Package for her viral sixth record and Best Dance Pop Recording for the single Von Dutch as well. Coming to her performance, she sang her classics 'Von Dutch' and 'Guess'. She also had a plethora of celebrities like Julia Fox, Alex Consani and Quen Blackwell do cameos during her performance. She turned the stage into her own personal rave party and indeed brought 'Brat summer' to the Grammys!

Charli has built a devoted global fanbase as her music is unapologetic and is rooted in the club culture. Some of the most popular songs from her album 'Brat' are 'Apple,' 'Von Dutch,' and '365.' All of these songs have lyrics that are rebellious and brutally honest about her personality. The internet even created a dance routine on her single ‘Apple.’ Post-Grammys, her ethnicity has recently become known to the world. She’s half Scottish and half Gujarati, which extends her global fan base further as Indians around the world feel not only more connected but also proud of what she's doing on a global stage!
