A heartbreaking home birth leaves a woman grappling with the profound emotional fallout.
Achingly raw, emotional N tearjerking, triggering, N with cast that gives intensely physical performance, this drama might leave you in pieces.

Pieces of a Woman is out today on Netflix. Reminder that Kirby and Burstyn are absolutely out of this world. And it has one of the best un-cheated long takes (like 22 minutes long without any masked cuts) I've ever seen

Watched PIECES OF A WOMAN on Netflix last night. This is a heartbreakingly, beautiful & moving film about loss, grief and how we manage to go on. Throughout the movie - paced over seasons of time - a bridge is being built. It is a terrific metaphor. Vanessa Kirby is outstanding pic.twitter.com/09M0v5WMiL

Not a lot of films portray such an intimate perspective of grief like Pieces Of A Woman. The film is an whirldwind of feelings. It’s a close look on griefing and how people deal with it in different ways. But it shows especially how the mother feels.

Pieces of a Woman is a raw, unpleasant viewing experience as it's not concerned with making the viewer comfortable. The story can be formulaic at times, but its a good movie with even better performances from Vanessa Kirby, and Ellen Burstyn. They did what they had to do.
