Yash Raj Films has finally locked the release date for its much-anticipated female-led spy thriller Alpha starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, while Yash’s gangster dramaToxic has been pushed to a new date, avoiding a clash with Dhurandhar. On the digital front, TVF has dropped the teaser for Aspirants Season 3, giving fans a glimpse into what’s next for the UPSC dreamers, while ZEE5 has announced a new project titled Dalimb starring Jitendra Kumar. YRF announces release date for Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha

Yash Raj Films has finally locked the release date for its upcoming spy thriller Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. The film will now hit theatres on July 10, 2026, after being pushed from its earlier release plans. Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra, Alpha is a major milestone for the YRF Spy Universe as it marks the franchise’s first female-led action film. Apart from Bhatt and Sharvari playing elite spies, the film also features Bobby Deol as the main antagonist and Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role. The project expands the interconnected spy universe that includes films like Pathaan, War, and the Tiger franchise. 

Yash’s Toxic release pushed to June

Kannada superstar Yash’s upcoming action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been postponed. The film, which was earlier scheduled to release on March 19, will now arrive in theatres on June 4, 2026. The shift also means that the anticipated box-office clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge will no longer happen. Reports suggest the change was made due to global distribution considerations and production timelines. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a pan-India film featuring an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash.

Badshah apologises after backlash over new song

Rapper Badshah recently faced significant backlash online over his song “Tateeree.” The track drew criticism for allegedly objectifying women and including controversial lyrics, leading to widespread outrage across social media. The story follows Kamlesh, a seemingly perfect daughter-in-law in a traditional household whose world begins to unravel after she discovers that her sister-in-law is facing sexual abuse within her marriage. What follows is a difficult moral crossroads where she must choose between protecting family honour or confronting the injustice unfolding within her home. Inspired by the ancient Chanakya–Chandragupta chronicles, the series reimagines political strategy for modern India, where classrooms are replaced. The trailer offers a striking entry into a world shaped by three forces: Sanskaar, Satta, and Samarpan. Anchored by Nana Patekar, the series also boasts a formidable ensemble cast featuring Sanjay Kapoor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Neeraj Kabi, Kubrra Sait, Kranti Prakash Jha, in pivotal roles.
