But while his previous stories spotlighted the minds that shaped the nation from visionary scientists leading the country to scientific revolutions to political leaders who steered India toward swaraj, this time the focus shifts to those who picked up arms. Revolutionaries who chose resistance over negotiation, and violence over compliance, to take on the British Raj.
In never-seen-before avatars and new looks, Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Jason Shah step into the shoes of some the young rebels who raged resitance over the British Raj. The first glimpse dressed as a punchy one-minute teaser gives the hint of how the show will focus on these young revolutionaries gearing up for battle, echoing the cry of "kranti ki pukar" meant to shake the very foundations of colonial rule. It’s loud, fiery, and driven by the energy of a young generation that chose to fight, not patiently and diplomatically find solutions. The series is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video and is inspired by Sanjeev Sanyal’s non-fiction book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom. The book brings to light the lesser-told stories of armed resistance, spotlighting figures like Subhas Chandra Bose, Aurobindo Ghosh, Bhagat Singh, Vinayak Savarkar, and Bhikaiji Cama.
