UK's Queen Elizabeth II has urged people to "think about others rather than themselves" and get the COVID-19 vaccine when they're offered one. On being asked about her experience of getting the vaccine, the Queen said, "It was very quick...It didn't hurt at all." The 94-year-old monarch and her 99-yr-old husband, Prince Philip, got vaccinated against COVID-19 last month.

Canada govt: Concerned by sexual assaults during hotel quarantine
The Canadian government has expressed concerns over multiple incidents of sexual assault involving travelers during COVID-19 quarantine. A woman was assaulted in a room at a state-designated hotel while another was assaulted by a state-trained security guard. Canadian Conservative Party has asked for the suspension of the hotel quarantine program, but the government has decided against it.

Govt extends guidelines on COVID-19 surveillance till March 31
The Ministry of Home Affairs today issued an order to extend the existing guidelines for surveillance, containment and caution amid COVID-19 pandemic to remain in force up to March 31. The government further advised states and Union Territories to speed up the vaccination of the target population. There are 1,55,986 active coronavirus cases in India.

DU considers admissions based on combined board exams, entrance results
The Delhi University is considering an admission process based 50% on the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) and 50% on board exam results. University's Vice-Chancellor PC Joshi said DU will try to move away from looking at board exam percentages and will consider percentiles instead. "The Centre is coming out with the CUCET," Joshi further said.
Petroleum Minister Pradhan: Fuel prices will come down after winters
Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the fuel prices will "come down a little" after winters. "It's an international matter, price is high due to increase in demand, it happens in winters," Pradhan added. Petrol was sold at ₹90.93 per liter and diesel at ₹81.31 in Delhi on Friday. In Mumbai, petrol prices jumped to as high as ₹97.34.
