OVERTHINKING…We all have been there, haven’t we? We still are overthinking about some or other thing that will hamper our process of thinking. An argument with your BFF, talking about the appraisal with your boss or what do I wear at best friend’s wedding, etc..etc…

So what does your brain do here? It overthinks the hell out of every single thing that you just thought of.

Well, most of the time it’s harmless. We think about, overdo it and then we move on. We all know it’s annoying and yet we do it. But, when certain situations happen, that thinking doesn’t stop and creates more misery in our minds and makes us feel more miserable. You may think that if you ponder over it, you might be resolving the problem. But you are actually not. As one doesn’t simply overthink about good things. Which makes it even worse and impacts our mind and bodies?

So being aware of it always helps. How do you ask?

Step #1: Identify the negative thoughts and flag them as harmful to your brain

Step #2: Stop it before it starts. Let the positive statements make their way in your head. Where those motivational quotes at?

Step #3: Distract negativity, attract positivity. Our brains are prone to ponder over and over the negative happenings. Directing your attention to something that requires focus can do the trick.

Step #4: Last and the one that actually matters. Let your brain know who’s the boss, like seriously!
