The news about the production for the sixth season of Peaky Blinders was confirmed in January. As the production continues, the reports of it being the last season also made it to the news. The series that is popular around the world follows the story Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, and his notorious family’s rise to power post-WWI against the backdrop of the working class.
The production had been delayed due to Covid pandemic and finally began as the continue to follow all the Covid protocols. Although creator and writer Steven Knight had previously said that the show will continue until season 7, the news of season 6 being the last comes with a bitter-sweet surprise.
