A renowned Indian lyricist and poet, Rahat Indori was also a former Professor of Urdu language and a painter. He passed away on Tuesday evening of cardiac arrest. He was known for his immense contribution to the Urdu literature and has left an ineffaceable mark on the hearts and minds of every modern aged poet, too.

He was one of the most prominent shayars of the country and every Urdu poetry lover was a fan of his poems, shayaris and writings. Giving inspirational and peaceful perspective to our fast-paced lives, Rahat Indori has encouraged the listeners to take problem and difficulties head-on.

Recently his poem Bulati Hai Magar Jaane Ka Nahi got viral on social media including TikTok and started trending on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during 2020 Valentine’s week. People started using this phrase as a meme.

Apart from India, he has showcased his talent on an international level.
