Prime Video's Maja Ma starring Madhuri Dixit and Gajraj Rao, released on October 6. Let's find out the Janta's reviews!
Directed by Anand Tiwari, Prime Video's Maja Ma is a family drama that addresses some important issues in the most heartwarming way possible. The story revolves around the Patel family, mainly Pallavi Patel (Madhuri Dixit) who is a doting mother, a dutiful wife, and an amazing dancer. Her son Tejas Patel (Ritwik Bhowmik), falls in love with an NRI Punjabi girl Esha (Barkha Singh) while pursuing a career in the US. Even after some hesitation, Esha’s parents Pam and Bob (Sheeba Chaddha and Rajit Kapoor) agree to the match and prepare to meet Tejas’ parents. Pallavi’s husband, Manohar (Gajraj Rao) is more than happy with the match and always wants the best for his family. But everything goes haywire when a rumor about Pallavi spreads like wildfire and puts her son’s engagement in the dock. Here’s when her daughter Tara (Srishti Shrivastava) supports her mother’s reality and encourages her to accept her truth.

#MajaMa is a film of two halves. The first brilliantly approaches a sensitive issue and the second poorly handles the complicated consequences emerging from that issue. #MajaMareview #MajaMaOnPrime

Was crying in the last 20 mins of #MajaMa. I expected the movie to be good but never thought it would be that good. @MadhuriDixit killed it in every scene but the true star was Simone Singh. Still cant figure out the ending, was it happy? Was it sad? Answers @anandntiwari

#MajaMa is a movie that every parent should see and so should their children. We live in a society where we lack empathy and acceptance. This movie puts out a heartwarming message in the most subtle way.

Have read so many stories and seen movies till now, all of them show young kids fighting for their identity at home but in this movie it is the mother who is fighting to prove her existence, Pallavi's character is just fab. @MadhuriDixit hats off you 🙌#MajaMa

#MajaMa is a movie to watch over and over. If you have @PrimeVideo please watch it because it is life changing. The way @MadhuriDixit portrays the LGBTQ community is heartwarming to see. An emotional rollercoaster that is worth to be on.

Words cannot express how much this movie means to me. To be able to watch it with my mother and for her to be accepting and actually enjoy and be supportive was such an amazing feeling #MajaMa #MajaMaOnPrime @MadhuriDixit @anandntiwari @PrimeVideoIN @LeoMediaC pic.twitter.com/glw4ljP0BR

watching maja ma and anand tiwari may be india's own (albeit resolutely middle class) nancy meyers because what an ear for relationship humor and what an eye for rich, yummy visuals (the cast, led by madhuri doing her "greatest star-actor in bollywood" thing, is terrific too)

The plot of the movie is a little different from what we've seen before. And it came to me as a surprise actually when i saw it in the film coz it wasn't even mentioned in the trailer. pic.twitter.com/9yfB1K0aSx
In my pov @anandntiwari is the most sensitive filmmaker of our time. He handles such delicate issues in his films, web series and even advertisement very sensitively. Kudos for #MajaMa and @MadhuriDixit again nailed it after #TheFameGame.#MajaMaReview #ShortReview

#MajaMa is such a delightful heartwarming movie! #MadhuriDixit is in top form as Pallavi Patel, there is not one false note in her performance as someone who is suffocated hiding her truth. She is ably supported by an exceptional supporting cast! #MajaMaOnPrime #majamareview pic.twitter.com/DxUFnhH8SR
