PV Sindhu Makes India Proud, Wins Gold At The BWF World Championships

PV Sindhu is one of India's most hardworking and talented badminton players. Pusarla Venkata Sindhu received International acclaim and spotlight after she earned a spot on the top 20 of BWF World Rankings in 2012. She was only 17 years old when she did so and has been making India proud ever since. And as of yesterday, she's added another win to her list after becoming the first Indian to win a Gold at the BWF World Championships.

Sindhu delivered smashing deliveries in an intense match against Japan's Nozomi Okuhara. Her rapid attacks gave her the advantage, bringing her victory in straight games by 21-7, 21-7. The game lasted for 37 minutes and that's all PV Sindhu needed to set a world record for herself and India. The gifted badminton player dedicated the award to her mother as she won it on her birthday.
