An airstrike at Baghdad International airport killed two Iranian generals, Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as per the order of US President, Donald Trump.

According to reports by Pentagon, Iranian military commander, Qasem Soleimani was killed in an airstrike in Baghdad International airport on the order of Donald Trump. The attack that happened early Friday morning also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iran-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) according to a statement from the PMF as reported in CNN. The killing of Soleimani has led to an increased tension between Washington and Teran which leads to Trump's decision to withdraw the Iran nuclear deal. It is also reported that Soleimani was planning on attacking American diplomats and service members in Iraq. The reports of the attack on the Iranian generals have erupted the fear of World War 3 among the people.
