R.D. Burman had his first hit film as a film music director in Teesri Manzil (1966). He did most of his work with Asha Bhosle (who he later married), Mohammed Rafi,Gulzar, and Lata Mangeshkar. But the strongest connection that he had was with Kishore Kumar.
