12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra is based on the real life story of Mohan Kumar. The film is an adaptation from the book written by Ashok Pathak on Mohanโs life. He was basically what the movie suggests - a 12th fail, lower-class boy hailing from Chambal who just refuses to give up on life and wants to try his best to crack the UPSC examinations to become an honest IPS officer. Vikrant Massey plays the lead role and the cast also includes Medha Shankar, Anantvijay Joshi, Anshuman Pushkar, Priyanshu Chatterjee in pivotal roles.ย
According to the Janta, it is a simple gentle film that is important for all students to watch and paints the true portrait of the education system in our country.
