Going by the look of the trailer, Kantara: Chapter 1 looks grander in scale and ambition, promising drama, emotion, and action in equal measures. Rishabh Shetty’s Berme is shown to be the messiah of the people of his village against the unrighteous Prince Kulashekara (Gulshan Devaiah), who leads the resistance of marginalised communities against the powerful royal family as they fight for their land and dignity. For the romantic track, we are also introduced to Princess Kanakavathi, essayed by Rukmini Vasanth, whose relations with Berme irk the mighty dynasty as they fear he harbours ambitions for the throne. With an interesting story, cast, and exquisite production design making the venture look visually stunning, Kantara Chapter 1 is sure to create significant buzz among cinema enthusiasts.
Bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films, Kantara: Chapter 1 is scheduled to hit screens on October 2.
