Shantit Kranti 2 review: Three best friends, a reunion, and one drunk night turns a bachelor's trip into a pilgrimage with a baby on board which makes this feel like the Indian adaptation of Hangover!

Shantit Kranti 2 review: If you have watched Shantit Kranti season 1 then you know it's a five-episode series that is going to make you laugh out loud with some dose of spirituality. They plan to go to Goa for a road trip which takes a 360 degree turn and they reach Shantivan Ashram to take a journey within themselves. Similarly, this season follows the same path, and a plan for a bachelor's trip to Thailand converts into a pilgrimage from India to Nepal. It's the same trio with many issues, the same fun, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of spirituality with a constant discussion on faith.

In quite a Hangover style, Shreyas (Abhay Mahajan) and Prasanna (Lalit Prabhakar) find themselves in an open field having no memory about last night while Dinar (Alok Rajwade) helps them retrace their steps. A reunion after a long time between three childhood friends leads to a drunken decision to go on a bachelor's trip but they have brought Prasanna's baby on board and before they know it, they're on a pilgrimage to Nepal with a bus full of old people. While all hell's loose and there are some goons chasing them, the three of them, who do not have much idea about each other lives anymore, go on different paths while traveling together trying to solve their mess.

Prasanna has lost himself as an individual and is suffocated in his family life but just isn't accepting this. Shreyas, because of his past experiences, is running away from love as well as his mother's business. Dinar thinks that he is now a sanyasi as he has given up on everything to walk the path of enlightenment but it isn't really the truth. But more than this, often the journey of finding oneself will lead to the journey of finding God and the exploration of your faith. This season explores that idea where we, besides these three and a whole group of people, are taken on a ride to find that balance between faith and blind faith, and the fact that it's not about the destination but the journey!

It has everything from myths like a pond where newly married couples take a bath and have chances of conceiving, a curse brought upon a family only to be lifted when a visit to the gods is made when the 9 planets are aligned with the sky, temples having fees and time boundaries to visit God, a meditation time under a tree in Varanasi leads to stealing. But it also has an old woman taking a solo trip in the name of a pilgrimage, a young NRI in search of some peace, and some old people who are much more chill than the younger lot. With people complaining all the time to the tour guide about time, food, and accommodations to vomit, pill-popping, and so much more it's the most real and honest bus tour I have seen on screen!

Shantit Kranti 2 with its comedic approach, bang-on chemistry among the talented cast, and punchworthy dialogues is that laughing riot that hits you on the right spot spiritually and ends up making your heart feel warm by the end!
